Who provides this site

tscmguru.com is operated by Empire Investigation LLC, trading as BUGHUNT. By using the site you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use it.

What the site is

The pages here are general information about technical surveillance countermeasures. They are not technical, legal, or security advice for your situation, and they should not be relied on as a substitute for an assessment of the actual environment.

The room shown on the home page is an illustration. The devices described in it are real and commercially available, and they are described to show what a sweep looks for. Nothing on this site is an offer to supply, install or assist with surveillance equipment, and we do not do that.

Enquiries

Sending the consultation form starts a conversation. It does not create an engagement, a retainer, or any duty on our part until we have agreed the work with you in writing. Please do not send anything you consider privileged or highly sensitive through the form; tell us it exists and we will arrange a suitable channel.

You agree that what you send us is accurate, is yours to send, and is not unlawful.

What we do not promise

Counter-surveillance is an inspection at a point in time. A sweep reflects what was found, using appropriate technique and instrumentation, in the environment as it was on the day. No sweep can guarantee that an environment is or will remain free of surveillance, and we make no such guarantee. Any dates, durations or availability mentioned here are indicative.

The site itself is provided as it is. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Licensing

Empire Investigation LLC has been licensed since 1982. Requirements differ by state and by service, and not every service described here requires the same authority. Where work is carried out by a subcontracted specialist, that remains our responsibility to you unless we agree otherwise in writing. Ask us and we will tell you plainly who will attend and under what authority.

Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of this site. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Liability for any engagement is governed by the agreement for that engagement, not by this page.

Emergencies

This site is not an emergency service and is not monitored continuously. If you are in immediate danger, contact emergency services first.

Our material

The text, photography, and design of this site belong to Empire Investigation LLC. You may read, print and share it. Please do not republish it as your own or use it to imply an association with us that does not exist.

Where this site is offered

This site is directed to users in the United States. We do not target it at, or market it to, people outside the United States, and we make no representation that the services described here are available or appropriate elsewhere. Governing law

These terms, and any dispute arising out of them or out of your use of this site, are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You and Empire Investigation LLC agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Nothing here overrides the terms of a specific engagement. Where a signed engagement agreement says something different, that agreement governs.

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and the version on this page is the one that applies.
